Ciao! I’m Valentina

A UX/UI Designer based in Amsterdam with a unique background as a pharmacist and a lifelong passion for art and storytelling.

For over 10 years, I worked as a pharmacist in Italy, where I developed strong communication skills and a deep sense of empathy. Every day, I listened carefully to people, helping them understand and solve their problems—even when they couldn’t fully express them. That experience shaped how I approach design today: with curiosity, care, and a commitment to improving people’s lives.

Why this career change? My transition into UX/UI Design wasn’t a sudden “aha” moment, but a gradual shift sparked by frustration—struggling with poorly designed software made me wonder: Why does some digital design feel so intuitive, while other interfaces make simple tasks hard? That curiosity led me to explore design, and five years ago, I started a journey that brought me to where I am now.

Moving to the Netherlands opened the door to new opportunities and allowed me to reconnect with my creative side. I earned a professional UX/UI certification from the UX Design Institute in Dublin and began blending my problem-solving mindset with my artistic instincts. Now, I design user-centered digital experiences using tools like Figma and Webflow, always with a focus on clarity, empathy, and impact.

I’m passionate, open-minded, and always eager to learn and grow. My goal is to bring together my healthcare knowledge, design skills, and creative energy to craft intuitive solutions that truly serve people. I believe good design is about listening—just like in pharmacy—and turning insights into experiences that make a difference.

Outside of work, I’m an artist at heart. I love drawing, painting with coffee, and inventing magical characters and stories to share with my daughters.
